On a school night?! Good effort Ouchies, though, I hope you're not too sore this morning. I've had the opposite - I went through a phase of having vasovagal episodes quite regularly and W&S would alway be there, licking my face. Which is just what you don't need when you're feeling weak and clammy!
That sounds really scary, Jen, hope you're ok? Xena's most embarrassing moment was a couple of months ago. 8ish pm, she's asleep on the living room floor when my brother in law bursts in through our unlocked back door (rather than ringing the front doorbell like a civilised person). OH and I jump up from the sofa in surprise. Xena....doesn't even stir, she was completely dead to the world. So OH and BIL open the ranch slider to go outside and have a smoke and *now* Xena wakes up and acts like a big old lunatic (A GUEST ZOMG HE JUST APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE!) A guard dog she is not.
I'm fine thanks guys! It's not my first drunken accident and I'm sure it won't be my last The worst part was OH was on nights, so I was just a bit like hmmm what do I do now?! OH has now banned me from drinking alcohol when he's on nights
Last night I bent down to help Quinn up on the bed and she jumped at the same time and smashed me in the face...I have a huge swollen/cut lip It felt like she knocked my front teeth out!
OH gave Ella a little dehydrated lamb bone this arvo. Past experience has told me that this wasn't a good idea. This was confirmed when Ella woke us up with a big vomit on our bedroom floor at 3.30am . Luckily she quickly ate most of it (after she sat politely and waited for us to tell her to 'have it' ) but I still had to scrub away the smell before we could go back to bed
Sorry but you have me chuckling, I've had busted lips from the hard head knocks, sprained wrists, sprained ankle, sprained ribs!! Had Fiona on a long lead one day playing frisbee, unknown to me the lead wrapped around my ankles several times as she was running around me-should have paid attention-I threw the frisbee and when she hit the end of the leash I went down like a roped steer!! That hurt! But couldn't help but laugh at stupidity. She thought it was fun! That was 8 years ago but to this day I hope no one witnessed that!
Something similar happened when a trainer had Quinn on a long line when trying to proof recall against balls being thrown....I warned her!! She went FLYING!
I saw my mum on Tuesday. She was coughing a bit but it sounded like a tickle, nothing chesty. On Thursday she goes to the GP and is diagnosed with the flu. Today Friday I wake up feeling a little iffy, my throat is a little tickly, and I'm feeling progressively worse as the day goes on. Incubation period for the flu is 1-4 days so it's possible. UGH I will be so pissed if it is. OH is working in Hamilton (500kms away) for the next few weeks so I've got nobody around to help with dog walking, which is a pain without being sick because walking the dog with the child is an exercise in patience. I'm hoping that it's just a mild cold and that I'll be able to at least give Xena some short pavement walks, otherwise the dog is in for a very boring weekend. I've got some good cold meds so cross your paws for all of us. Oh dog if the kid gets sick then all walks go out the window cos I can't leave her alone on her own. OH hasn't worked off-site in 3 years, I haven't had the flu since I was a teenager, yet it's all potentially happening now? Great timing!
