We don't have to pay for grooming some dogs have to be clipped every 6 to 8 weeks that's expensive unless you get some clippers and diy. Labs coats are awesome

I think Ella might be a bit itchy. There are no obvious signs on her skin or coat but I THINK she may have been scratching more recently. However, I'm not sure if I've been analysing her scratching so much that I'm just noticing things that I've never seen before o_O

I've not been able to walk Holly for the last three days. Today I get to walk her again so it'll be a long one. Yay!

    42C at 10:30am. Blargh.
I think today will mostly be spent sitting indoors in my bikini and eating ice cream.

    I'm a bit jealous!

A nice paddling pool, bottle of wine and a book. Would be lovely!

    It's only 16C here

It's nice holiday weather, but not nice home weather. It's toooo hoooooot to do anything! In fact, I'm looking forward to my holiday where it's going to be ten degrees cooler! :D

This is from a lady who knows! :)

My sister always thinks of the temperatures in terms of holidays, but it's really not like that. It's icky. And you have to get up super early to walk the dogs, then walk them again no earlier than 9pm. Once the house here is finished, we'll be in a position where we can head back to the lovely mountains when it's this hot. A long hike alongside babbling brooks, stopping for a picnic by a mountain lake.... ah, that sounds like heaven!

I had an awesome walk the other morning. Being suddenly yanked toward two new dogs on our regular walking path left me to slip on a really muddy and wet portion of grass...straight flat onto my back. It was so much fun; my head literally bounced. And then, just to top off the merriment, I was a little woozy and my boy still ended up pulling me over to greet the new dogs. The young girls (no more than half my age, if that) were very kind in asking rather abruptly if I'd taken him to obedience classes (the inference meaning they feel I obviously need to). He's only 10 months old and the middle of Winter here - I intend to take him in Spring, but I was still a little dazed so just nodded in recognition of their words and thanked them for their sage advice

If I lived where you do, I'd ditch the bikini, too! :D

And I was going to say, "Apply the ice cream externally" but then came to my senses as that would be a sad waste of good ice cream.

Aren't you tempted to high off to your place in Andorra for a few days when it gets so hot in Spain?

I was being discreet - don't want to scare off the members ;)

    Not to mention sticky!

That's the plan for the future. But J is currently installing a bathroom - I know, right?!?! It's going to be like a proper house and everything! We haven't even had our little temporary shower tray the last few days. We've had a shower hose and pump hooked up to a dead olive tree in the garden! Hehe, showering outside in the nuddy (other than sandals because ouch) is rather liberating :D
Although, the first day, we didn't even have that, so we just hosed each other down with the garden hose :cwl:

You all are seriously hardcore! :cwl:

    But seriously, respect!

And maybe think about taking a break in the river to jump off the pier WITH the dogs.
