    Yep! And It's poo :(

I definitely won't get it. I have zero experience with dog apart from Stanley and when they saw my dog bound into the training school like tigger on speed they'd think not a chance! :D

Stanley was so tired last night. He'd been to Doggy day care and hadn't stopped apparently because his friend Ned was there.

He looked so comfy on the couch me and OH decided we would leave him there rather than putting him to bed. He's never really been given free range in the front room on a night or when we're out before. When I got up this morning I looked down the stairs to see if I could see anything (our stairs are in our living room) and I could just see this little face looking back at me. :cwl:

    He's just so funny!

I'm sure the place you're applying to is different than the place I applied to, but I just couldn't have dealt with the wet dirty clothes and jumping dogs for barely minimum wage. You might miss that nice warm office and good money :D

That's the best bit! The wage is actually very little difference - hours are a bit longer, I say that.. the hours are a bit longer than what I'm contracted to. What I actually do is different!

Hope you're feeling better now! I totally get you on the eyesight front. I'm -8.00 too! I have to wear contacts because as my lovely optician told me - I'm not a good glasses candidate as I have bad eyesight and a small head

 Crickey, that's incredible. That's a massive change in career direction if you do get it, but even if you don't, realising that you don't want to work in law anymore is a huge realisation. Good luck with your new direction!

No way! I've never met anybody with eyes as bad as mine. I dabbled with contacts for about 6 months but they were so uncomfortable. Apparently I have unusually dry eyes, which explains that. I have a massive head, so at least glasses look fine on me :D

Huh, Monty is as likely to pull me into speeding traffic as guide me safely. Plus he's already landed me in hospital once.

Good luck with the job. Could you offer to do a bit of work experience there, or a work trial? For a job like that I would have thought that was more important than what you put on your application.

You could always set up your own business at home.....

Sorry, if that sounded odd.... :)

I work in Employment and skills so we recommend this all the time to people looking for a career change, not just school leavers... it can be hard when your cv reads differently to your ideal job.

Some employers here will offer a work trial (2 to 3 hours or a day) as they find that more beneficial than a formal interview, especially for roles involving face to face work with customers.

@Emily, I've often wondered, how many hours in front of the uk are you, shouldn't you be sleeping now? (in my head it's about 2am there:rolleyes:)

Haha no, it's 8.40pm now. We're 9 hours ahead at the moment then it changes to 11 hours in our summer/your winter when we put the clocks forward and you put them back :)

The only reason I'd be up at 2am is if the kid's woken me!

I haven't walked monty yet today... there's thunder and lightning rumbling around on and off and is forecast for the next 2 hours. I say that I'm not at all scared of storms, however I am actually scared of being hit by lightning. I googled it and it happens more than you would think.
Though I also discovered that nine out of ten people survive a strike. I'm such a scaredy cat.

I found a group of teenagers terrified during a big storm. The were scared and didn't know what to do so had to talk to them calm them down and take them somewhere safe while this terrible storm passed over. One even tried to use her phone  I then sent them home as more storms were on the way. What got me was they were about 16 to 18 and suddenly much young seeming. they know what to do in storms now and I think they felt a bit looked after and safer. There's something very primitavely frighting about thunder and lightening. Stay in till it's gone be safe. i save a tree get hit by lightening awesomely scarey

Gosh, why didnt they go straight home? Good job you helped them.Though i did see golfers playing once when thunder was rumbling around.....
Fortunately monty is still shattered from spending 2 days at my sister in laws, so isn't harrassing me at all for a walk. He occasionally gets a rest day anyway with his joint issues so might make today one of those.
