Oh terrifying! :( where exactly did you hit to dislodge them? Was it between shoulder blades like with humans?

You did what was best for him. He knows that because that's what you always do :)

He was probably looking relieved! And in any case he has forgotten that already, and you saved his life :) I hope I would be as quick thinking in an emergency as you! X

I’ll never forget when my OH choked on a French fry. Thank god we were at a restaurant. I tried to help him but he fell to the ground and I couldn’t pick him up. This happened 3 years ago and I still think about it at every single meal.

I've just got personalised Stanley Christmas cards made.

They better get pride of place in everyone's homes :D

I just bought Nelly a new harness in Pets at Home , took her along to try them on , she needs an extra small size . I had to smile at the irony of previously having to buy XXL for Sam and now buying the smallest of things for Nelly . She was everso good though , until she spotted the bunny enclosure ! xx

You're brave! I've yet to take either of mine to Pets at Home. They have to put up with whatever I choose!

Oh how terrifying for both of you! I'm so glad the choke training worked. What did you actually do? Is it something like a Heimlich's manoeuvre but for dogs?

Sounds like a scary moment @SwampDonkey glad you acted so quickly. Poor Rory.

Monts stole a cooked chicken leg straight out of the fridge yesterday morning (I stupidly left the door open for 10 seconds) and he snaffled it down pronto. Fortunately no ill affects.
