Poor Quinn...I think all the treats from training class got to her tummy and she had diarrhea by the door sometime in the night. Feeling bad because I slept through her crying to go out
I wish I was brave enough to use our tent. Last time we went camping we woke up to a fresh pile of bear scat literally right outside the tent opening. Time before that a pack of wolves were howling away, which sounded beautiful, but it was also eerie. So our lovely huge tent just collects dust in the garage, probably never to be used again I keep asking OH if we can get a mini trailer, as I do love camping, just want to feel a bit safer
This bleeding dog! First he arrived with Juvenile Cellulitis, then once that was taken care of, he developed a stomach bug...another trip to the vet to sort it out. Then his eyelid began to roll into his cornea (a very expensive operation to correct this), then another stomach bug....then he managed to snag a dishcloth and I had to take him to the emergency vet fairly late at night to induce vomiting (money, money, money)....and then neither testes dropped so another absurdly expensive procedure was required to remove them from his body. And now...I've just realized he has a stomach sensitivity to tuna and sardines. He kept getting mild bouts of diarrhea...and it took me a while to put two and two together. I'll tell you what...if I didn't love that rat bag to death, he'd be off to the glue factory!
I think J is the only person who can go to a builders' merchant and come back with wine. Yesterday, we had a new one. He went to a snow sports shop and came back with several mason jars filled with homemade pate, from a range of animals the owner had hunted himself. When he asked me to guess what was in the "Esports Cubil" bag he came back with, I didn't really have a chance, did I?
Oh @Chococheer, I feel for you, that's a lot of health issues one after the other. Paws crossed that the worst is over and that you only have to deal with run of the mill things from now on.
Xena's really taking her "pathetic at dinnertime" face to a whole new level, and unfortunately I can't stop laughing at her. She kept on doing dramatic sighs, it was hysterical. Naturally I rewarded her by letting her pre-wash the plate.
Molly doesn’t lose much hair daily but, good grief, this morning it was as though it all decided to fall out at once -on my cream bed sheets! Signs of spring?
Yay, our paw pods arrived! Let the fun commence In fact, this puts me in mind of a February challenge....
Annnnnnnnddddd...eggs. I just tested that one, and yup, he has a sensitivity to eggs as well. Thank you. Yes, finger crossed...but I have insurance for him if there are any issues which arise that aren't financially manageable. Hope for the best...prepare (as much as reasonably possible) for the worst
Oh boy, he's a right special snowflake! Can allergies be genetic? Have you mentioned it to the breeder?
Dealing with the breeder has been...difficult. Shortly after I brought him home I got in contact with her in regard to his health (she told me he had mild dermatitis according to her vet) when, in fact, he had Juvenile Cellulitis. Ultimately she refunded a significant proportion of his cost, but once that occurred she became somewhat uninterested and defensive about the numerous other problems which may be associated with his breeding. I also know she used the same bitch for a subsequent litter. I believe this to be unethical, so I don't update her whenever a new issue arises. It's an exercise in futility at this point....and I just do my best to look after and enjoy my defective dog
you must have been apoplectic with rage when you heard that. He's very lucky to have you as his person.
