Had a weird walk today. Met a young fit police officer half across a field out if puff and looked like he'd fallen in the mud. I asked him if he was ok and he just sad yes a jogged off. There was police cars and bans and then a dog unit. They were chasing someone,. Didn't see anyone went home just in case:eek:

Oh! Oh! There was a 15 week old Beagle at training tonight. He was just divine! I had to hold him for his long recall (which he did very well for his first time, once he realised where his mum had gone). It was all I could do to not stuff him inside my coat & smuggle him out.

Someone was stabbed on the park at the end of my road. They are stable now. That's why we had loads of police around on Monday. I saw loads. we also had another home invasion robbery on Sunday night. They broke the woman's arm poured cleaning fluids into her eyes cut her finger nails off and poured bleach on her hands. all really scary and horrible. Not liking it around here again.

How dreadful, I would have thought Leicestershire was a quiet county, very scary.

It's quiet mostly but sometimes it's silly. There's been so much publicity about the robbery that hopefully the police might stand a chance in catching them. Everyone's angry horrified and determined to help this brave lady. They thugs cut her nails and poured cleaning fluid on her hands because she scratched them. They didn't want to leave any DNA evidence. There's been a lot of this type of robbery around here recently.

My mum just told me a very surprising story about her friend’s dog. She is a spayed female about 4 years old. She was putting on a bit of weight and was a bit lethargic so they took her to the vet, and the vet couldn’t find anything wrong. Shortly later, the dog gave birth to 6 puppies! Everyone is adamant that she was spayed several years before, but obviously something has gone awry! Imagine how shocked mum’s friend was to suddenly have puppies everywhere  this was just before they were due to fly out to New Zealand for a month. Luckily the local kennels they use are also a breeders and offered to take mum and pups and raise them. The story made me have a little inspection of the Pig’s spay scar just to make sure it was there...

Conchita has what looks to all intents and purposes to be a spay scar. She had a season in December. Just sayin' ;)

    Wouldn't they have noticed seasons??

Apparently no hint of a season in all the time since the spay! Lordy I am going to have puppy nightmares tonight! Apparently the whole village is now in a game of whodunnit with regards to the entire males about the place...

The guy who I got Doug from was a very experienced breeder. He kept Doug's mum and dad separate they were never alone together when Bella was in season. He thought she was having a phantom. Dogs are sneaky she had nine bouncy lab pups

I cooked curry for 13 last night. There was a vegetarian there and curry is the perfect thing for that; I made 11 dishes, seven of which were veggie-friendly.

Someone asked me, "what's the difference between that one (sag aloo) and that one (bombay potato and egg masala)?". Errr - the sag aloo is dry and spinachy. The masala has a thick sauce, eggs and not a hint of spinach. They look nothing alike. They taste nothing alike. The only thing similarity is they both have potatoes in them. Some people are odd.
