I start work at 1pm, and when I arrive I always get asked "how's Coco been this morning?" or "how was dog school last night". I reply and chat on about him, but I never ask about anyone's children or grand children.......That's normal isn't it?
I've just seen the saddest thing ever on Facebook. It was a black Labradors last day and all the things they got up to. Now I'm sat sobbing and cuddling Stanley who is looking at me like Any dog thing gets me - but when it's a Labrador it tips me over the edge.
I just don't look at that type of thing. Im living with a very sick dog at the moment and that stuff is just not constructive. I really don't get it anyway it's not really about the dog. I just enjoy my time with my dogs
Cuba must be such an amazing place to visit, I'm so jealous Ashley @QuinnM15! And may I kindly remind you to pay the puppy tax It's nice to hear that the street dogs are tagged and taken care of.
We went to Cuba as part of our big 25th Wedding anniversary trip last July/August. It is such a special place. No matter that most people have little money, they will readily come and help you if you look lost and not one put their hand out.
The beaches are pretty amazing and it’s a quick 3.5 hour flight and affordable from where we live. I will post some Cuban dog pics!
Something's happened to Rory's tail and it used to be like a lemurs all whippy a sticky up. It's turned into a proper labrador tail it's much more chunky. Obviously it nothing compared to Benson's but I'm impressed.
It is times like these I am reminded just how remote we are down here! It literally took us 2 days to get to Cuba!
I think getting this camera was a bit of a mistake. I get so emotional when I look at my baba all curled up being an angel, makes me sad I'm not with him
At 4 1/2 years of age Molly has finally decided that she doesn’t mind being groomed. She doesn’t seem to shed much all year ( unlike my previous Lab) so only needs doing during moulting. This spring she has decided to stand quietly while I use both the Zoom Groom and a knobbly mitt ( previously I’ve been reduced to just a comb). She’s got a strange coat - most of it is quite thin and not double but she has a wide strip down her back which is very ‘Chessie’, thick and coarse, and which whicks away water instantly.
Does anyone else's dogs like to play hide & seek? My dog absolutely loves it, we play it every evening. He gets all giddy when he knows we're going to play. Basically I run upstairs with him chasing me, and then he runs back downstairs while I hide, then he'll come running back up to try to find me. I mix it up every time and it's so funny hearing him creeping about checking around doors etc trying to find me And when he does find me, I yell out "I'm going to get you!" and pretend to try to catch him, and he gets a huge look of happiness on his face and turns and runs off. And the whole things continues for a few rounds until he's exhausted I've never had a dog that played hide & seek and it's a blast
Hooray! Our dog licences have been abolished from 1st April. All dogs now must be microchipped from that date. No dangly licence tag to jangle with the id tag
Maxx plays a different sort of hide and seek @SilverFalcon.....he steals stuff, hides it and then we have to seek it out!
