Stanley’s decided he is now a gin fan. Trying to snaffle our Palma violet gin :cwl:

I scaled this to 1 egg and 2 of those small tins with the peel-back lids if this helps. It makes just about 2 pyramid pans.

This is why I don't make my own treats the level of whinning I get about tripe sticks from my oh would be magnified to epic proportions if the house smelled of dog treats. He could whine for England

Today a friend and I hired a very large barn for an hour to do some training. It had a thick sand floor, one end of which was slightly damp but the other was dry fine powder. Molly went crackers - she loved it, racing around, rolling over and pushing her nose right down into it.
Although we live by the sea, the beaches here are pebbles, shingle or at best wet sand. She’d never been on dry sand before and she had a whale of a time. Didn’t actually get much training done...

Proud of Monts yesterday. On our walk I saw 2 huskies approaching so popped him back on lead (we have history with huskies) they were both on extendable leads, on a path about 8 feet wide.. I had Monty in a sit and did LAT. I don't do it that frequently, nor had done if for at least 10 days, so I wasn't expecting much. But after one lure to get his attention, he say beautifully while they passed, one of them lunging and barking. I kept the treats flowing, praising all the time.

He then followed this up by keeping close to me off lead while another off lead lab followed a little way behind. he kept checking back as if to say - shall I run back and jump all over him - but each time I did crazy lady star jumps and he kept coming back to me full of happiness.
It got me thinking how much more I could have achieved with him if it was me walking him every single day doing consistent training instead of a range of dog walkers, daycare and kind but inconsistent family members

Even OH thinks I’ve pushed the boundaries of crazy Doggy mum.

I’m looking at new houses and he said he thought 3 bedrooms would be enough. I said I wasn’t sure. I thought 4 would be better so Stanley could have his own bedroom.

He sort of pulled this face o_O and said excuse me? I said I wanted Stanley to have his own bedroom with his toys, and a nice big bed and Doggy wallpaper and a sign that says Stanleys room on the door.

He’s just sat quietly looking at me like I’m mad. I think it’s perfectly reasonable.. :D

    I’m thinking something like this:

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

He'd still want to spend all his time wherever you were, Jen. But that room is super cute.

I'm trying to get OH to agree to a super king sized bed so there's more room for all of us. Monts has a double bed he has almost exclusive use of, but he prefers to squeeze with us.

Seems reasonable to me too. Mine have their own room in case they need " alone time" and I have a super king bed in case they want mummy time.

I convinced OH to move so Quinn could be closer to her park and have a huge yard...keep on it!

Love the fact the clocks have gone back here. I can now take Vanilla to the beach off leash anytime of day rather than having to wait until 8pm. Which is really good when you need a walk and a play after work....

That is too funny :D We're also house hunting, I'm trying to find somewhere with a decent sized garden as my dog loves being able to mooch about outside during the day. Maybe I should mention to OH about a bedroom for each of the dogs and see the reaction :D

We weighed Holly this morning and she's now 26.4kg, which means that she's about 0.5kg lighter than she was last summer. She has a nice waist and no ribs are showing so I guess we'll increase her food slightly and let her settle around this weight. We wouldn't want her to slowly waste away!
