Does anyone else feel bad when cooking certain things so the dog always gets some? I cooked chicken curry & rice for OH and I tonight, Stanley got chicken and rice cos I felt bad. Such a spoilt puppy!
That's very familiar. Pongo has got us completely trained. He usually has titbits off our plates while we are eating, and now if we are having something he wouldn't like (eg curry) we each have a little pile of Pongo-ready scraps by the side of our plates so he gets some. Honestly, it's ridiculous. We've even found we are eating less pork (and we LOVE pork) just because Pongo can't have pig-meat, it disagrees with hm. Just who is in charge in this house, eh?
Wispa and Tuppence don't get titbits while we are eating, although it doesn't stop them (Tuppence mainly!) lingering hopefully near the table. They've now got the habit of appearing when they hear me get out the chopping board and knife, though, so that they can catch any vegetables I drop and get the end bits/peel too!
I think sleeping on your bed could be unsafe, just because he could fall off the bed hurt him self. I think they should have there own bed to feel safe in
I don't think Lilly get very near the edge....always jammed in the middle or curled up RIGHT next to me. She has fallen off a couple of times but just like cats, always lands on her feet
That's a really good point, but my pup is almost 4 months old and he's a whopper - extremely large (my vet says he's going to be huge)...and I've just started having him on the bed with me in the last week. He's doing well - it's a king size bed located against a wall, so I don't anticipate any hiccups
Hah - neither of my pups have ever fallen out of bed. And I let them take responsibility for how far they are from the edge! Unless a hugely high bed and hard flooring, I wouldn't worry....
Coco met a lovely yellow Lab this morning. We were on a farm track, Coco was on lead, Lab off lead - pleasant greeting, then Mr Yellow got grumpy and tried to chase after us, barking and grumbling. He was quickly called away. Coco walked on without any messing - I was pleasantly surprised! I think they'd have had a nice play/chase if Coco had been free too, but with loads of sheep around he was definitely kept on lead. Shame..
So Nathan's first word is definitely "Ella". It's crystal clear and he points at her as he says it. No "Mum" or "Dad" in this family, just "Ella"
Met some lovely little boys out walking today. They were telling how their 4 month old lab puppy was jumpy and bitty.
So wet today I had to take my clothes off and put in the washing machine as soon as I got in from our walk Rory enjoyed his warm sluice down and rub dry. We're all snuggly on the sofa again. It was nice, We had such a nice time
Yep no dogs who attacked mine no owners who swear at you no flashers either love the rain and the cold. It keeps the undesired stuff away.
I lost a favourite tree bauble to Coco's tail. I only noticed there was one missing when taking the tree down yesterday. OH confessed to the accident when they were playing tug
