My oh is still holding a grudge because Rory was a super bitey pup. He is 3 now we've all moved on but not OH. I just don't care it's his loss.

Agreed. I actually thought I was mostly alone on this until today.

My OH is the opposite. Stanley could poo on his lap and he'd by like "aww boo don't you worry".

I get some fake tan on the carpet and the world ends!

Talking about fake tan on the carpet, OH walked through the house with dirty shoes on Thursday - my new red rug had gollumping big black footprints that wouldn't hoover off. He was pretty cool about it.
Had to scrub them with carpet cleaner took ages to get out - the rug was ok as new, but the old carpets now have pale patches rather than footprints.
    Aaargh!

And he feeds her a kazillion gravy bones at bedtime.
    Aaargh again!

Mine waltzed through the house with bare feet on my brand new expensive rugs. He been maintaining his motorbike in just his pants and a tee shirt had oil on his bare feet. I just followed the oily foot prints through the house to him. When I got to him he Said in a petulant tone how do you know it was me? I mean it'd not just me is it? I not a big game tracker or anything but I kind of guessed it was him. Couldn't get the oil out, carpets ruined.
My friends often tell I one if the patient easy going and forgiving person. I think that might be what it is not a man or women thing but the ability to accept forgiveness and move on. The dogs gave always been mine my responsibility and I have bought them up with no real input from my oh. They are my thing so I don't really expect much from him it's sad really because I think he has missed out but because of my personal circumstance this is my only chance to do the dog thing. it has made me think less of him as i feel he lacks a generosity of spirit which has surprised me. I hope for one more dog. Just one more before I can no longer do this.

He has OCD and possibly mild autism it's been an interesting marriage so far. We are both uniquely maladapted to be a perfect couple;). Weve known each for over 30 years and are both 50 this year. The dog thing is the only thing he can't touch them but i did catch Moo on his knee once. He likes the idea of them but not them in the raw. He can't even cope with them off lead . :D we have a great time its just a bit different. very different. I wont even mention about me my axe and the cupboard he built

Rory has been a but vomity this weekend. I just booked a day off work to keep an eye on him and Moo. He was still not ok at 1130 lsst night. Not being sick but i thought he might Moo was also breathing heavily so I was worried she was about to start. I feel a bit silly but I hope you guys get it? Not sure if some of my co workers will:)
