We haven’t been to a beach for aaages. I used to love playing on the beaches in Scotland when we had lots of long, long holidays with the mini-humans. The journey in the car was a bit boring (Tuppy didn’t like it much), but I slept and slept until I could smell the sea. There was one beach where suddenly there would be lots of other heads in the water watching us swimming - mum said they were seals.

I hope we can go there again sometime, but mum says we’re going to somewhere called Cornwall this summer, so maybe I’ll find beaches there. Just hoping...

A diffrent sort of Norty came to me this morning. We were on the beach, as it happens, after our walk. Mum did a Chuckit for me, but instead of running back with the ball, I ran into the sea. It felt nice. Then I noticed some birds in the water, so I chased, but they flew away. I could hear a very faint "coco leave"..Anyhows, I dropped my ball into the shallow stream flowing down the beach and set about paddlin' & sniffin'. There's that faint noise again "coco, your ball. get your ball". Oooh look at this green seaweed...I think I'll have a good roll in it, kick kick roll. The noise gets louder as mum gets nearer. "COCO WHATTHEDEVILAREYIROLLINGIN?" "WHERESYOURBLOODYBALLGONE". Discretion being the better part of valor I stood up and set about looking for the ball. We're both staring out to sea wondering how far it has gone...there's a fisherman in a boat - maybe he can see it....Suddenly I noticed the ball a little way up the beach, where I left it of course!

I can't have been that norty cuz I got the rest of my Chuckits OK.

Nelly! Nelly! I met your Bigbruvversam when I was little so maybe one day I can come back to remote and meet you too! Mum says not yet though because I'd bounce on you and squish you.

Bouncing and squishing is the best!

It's raining! Like REALLY REALLY rainin'...Dad said 'we need an Ark Maxx'. He says strange things sometimes. I dragged my warm blanky out of bed, out the back door and left it in a puddle - just because - and Dad wasn' happy...he said 'How are we going to dry it Maxx? We don't have a dry-er'.

We go no rain Maxx, but dad attached MY sprinkler to the hose last night and I had great fun. I dragged it all around and the Hoomans were squealing and running away and I got soaked. Then I did get towelled off and that was great fun too. Until I decided tug would be a good idea, then dad said we'd done enough towelling. If your blanky is still wet Maxx, why not take it indoors & play tug with it. You dad will love that.

Last night, I saw a man human taking things from our yard! I barked as loud as I could from my window telling him to stop! Turns out, it was just my Dad  Mum says I'm getting a bit too comfortable using my voice. But I'm just taking my job of protecting my yard from strangers and squirrels seriously, since I'm a grown up dog now.

My next door neighbour Molly (she’s very pretty) had a super duper ball. I really liked it so when no one was looking I stoled it through the fence.

It was my prized possession. But daddy gave it back to mollys mummy

So I cried and cried and cried and mollys mummy said if it means that much to me I can have it.

Mummy says we’re going to have to buy Molly a new ball. I’ll probably steal that one too.
