Ok so today is really a bad day with our pup, she is 15 weeks old and I feel like i have done something really wrong or something has happened. I dont know whether she is overexcited, anxious, scared or aggressive or what but I really dont feel like she is happy and playful. My feeling is that she is a bit anxious and has gotten frightened a few times - not intentionally. First time at a puppy party at the vets where I think she was overwhelmed and either overexcited or scared but just barked the whole time - she had never barked before. Then each time we have had to go the vets (2xUTI and yesterday for worming/flea meds) she has come back totally nuts and unhappy. I really try to keep things very calm around the house and she only has access to kitchen and garden and limited with the kids etc. We did bring her on the short outings to try to socialise her before 12 weeks and she seemed content enough, she does get very overexcited to meet people and jump on them, rolls over for cuddles and pets and so I have tried to limit the school trips the last week or so so she has calmer walks etc. I have also just brought her walking in quiet estate the last few days and limited the park because she get so crazy. Today we went early and it was all fine. Then my dad came over later in the day and she got so overexcited and she has been nuts since, not going for her usual nap and barking in the crate and at me (which she never usually does). She still doesnt like getting the harness on in the morning and will back away or growl at it - sometimes she backs away from me when i am trying to talk to her. Is she scared of me? I have never been aggressive or punished her. I just feel like there is not really any time, where she is light and playful and am really worried I am doing or have done something terribly wrong.

Is she bored? Could you try doing some training/brain games with her?

Well I do training with her every day, a little and gave her lunch in one of those snuffle mats. I mean I’m not sure how much or how structured the training should be. We have been working on sit, stay, fetch, drop it, lie down, heel and she has most of them at basic level but not distraction or distance. I was reading there and thought maybe she was particularly bad this last week - maybe it was that fear period... I am just missing seeing relaxed happy puppy with the family

Now I think I realized why today is particularly bad, I have her Drontal in the morning and she has been nuts since, barking, crying, not settling if sleeping. From google and this forum it looks like this can happen with Drontal / so fingers crossed for tomorrow and regular puppy worries ...
