During my walk this morning there were lots of fair weather dog walkers out ::) I will add I am an all weather walker, I had Hattie, met a friend along the way with her Doberman called Dasha who is Hattie's friend, walked on, I could see a family with 3 dogs about 150 meters infront of me and then I heard the ruck, all dogs including Dasha really barking and not sure if anything else was taking place. Hattie thought she would go and be a nosey parker and began to run off, two peeps on my whistle and she shot back to me and so kept away from trouble. I was pretty proud of her as she loves to have a good play with all dogs, just really glad she didn't this time

    Aw thank you.

Clare, not all that much hard work at all, I have only been training her to the whistle since September 2013 and she is 6 years old bless her :)

I wish Charlie would learn half as quickly as Hattie

He will ;D The GSP side of him will begin to improve any minute now as in my experience GSPs improve tremendously between age 3 to 4 years old. However, the Lab side may be different, but at least Labs tend to stay much closer ;D

Well done Helen and Hattie. ;D

Wish mine would learn as quickly as Hattie. Stop whistle is getting very frustrating and know way is our recall anywhere near that good. Maybe one day. ::)

Jen, if it helps Charlie's stop whistle isn't going very well either, he will do it no problem on the drive but beyond that just ignores it. David said he gets a couple at a close distance and that's it. I am wondering if maybe we shouldn't be practising outside the drive just yet :-\

Hattie just seems to get recall and stop whistle and only after a few months, I guess it's the Poodle brain in there with the Labrador.

You will get there just like Charlie will one day :) Keep going Jen. x
