Hi I have a 4 yr old female lab and we have always kept her on a leash until recently but we are struggling with her recall. She thinks she has every right to run up to every dog and if that dog growls at her she growls and barks back. She doesn’t seem to know how to approach another dog and back off when they warn her. We thought we were getting somewhere with her recall but she will not always come back to us when there is another dog about. She is perfect when no other dogs about. How can I get her to improve with this. Thanks for any advice given
Hi Christine. I can't recommend Pippa's ''Total Recall" highly enough. Recall training takes patience and perseverance, but well worth it. Do yourself a favour and get a copy of the book. You wont regret it. Good luck.
