We have a 25 weeks old male yellow lab who is crate trained. We have had no potty training issues with him and he lasts through the night in his crate based on our regular routine. In the past week on two occasions we have noticed a wet spot in his crate that does not smell of urine but does have a strong odor. We bathed him and washed his mat with a mild detergent only to have the same thing happen again last night. As indicated, it does not smell of urine but is a strong odor. THOUGHTS??????

Is he perhaps a licker? My former lab use to lick her dog bed, couch etc, all the time. It would leave behind a smelly odor.

Mine will drool a little bit sometimes while in her crate, it might be that.
