Three more days, they'll be back on Wednesday! Yay!!! I've been working all this weekend (just got back right now) so it seemed like a good opportunity for OH to go and visit his family. Poppy's having a lovely time playing with his six-year-old twin nieces... (Don't worry, she has a safe place to escape for when she gets tired of being Dick Whittington's cat, or whatever her latest starring role is in their pretend world ). Jac, there are two single beds in that room. They are a normal single bed size, I'd say - OH is not a small man, and he sleeps quite comfortably there. But not with Pops in the bed with him... She actually has her doggy bed on the bedroom floor, but that photo looks suspiciously as though she's not been using it much...
Why use a doggie bed when there's a choice of two very comfortable-looking normal beds! Poppy's got it sussed...!
Well yes but I have been known to sleep til lunchtime. I'm not sure their bladders would hold out and certainly not Obi's desire to play! Which would not be restful. I think I'm doing quite well to stay in bed til 8:00 with a toddler and two dogs
DISASTER. Today Poppy found, and severely mangled, MIL's original leather-and-fur 1930's koala... This is not good, not good at all. SO GLAD I am not there to face her wrath when she finds out. If she ever finds out, that is. OH says he may just take said koala out at dead of night and bury it in the grounds...
oh...eeeek! I bet he was asking for it though.....teehee... Sorry, I think disposing of the body and staying shtum is a good idea.
Well, he confessed, and it is a testament to Poppy that MIL has forgiven her. She said she is 'such a good little dog' that this was clearly out of character and actually she never liked the koala anyway, so all is well. Phew. And - Poppy and OH arrived back safely on Wednesday evening. The house is once again chaotic (due to OH, not Poppy), and less clean. I am delighted to have them both back; there have been many happy cuddles and kisses. Bliss. (Yes, OH got a few cuddles and kisses too ).
That's so sweet that you miss your little baby. Once you have experienced the love of a Lab, it just isn't the same when they are not around.
Ah Karen, bet you missed her like mad....Dexter does daycare one day a week and if I'm in the house that day it feels horrible without him.Now he sleeps with us too I would miss him like mad if he wasn't in the bed.x
