    Thanks Fiona x I thought it might have been a wonder screw that I didn't know about that could withstand Labrador Gforce....my parents have got a couple of these and said the same ,they probably wouldn't hold him....if for example he wasn't being supervised and he saw,let's say a squirrel! :) I need a solution that doesn't mean I'm always on lockdown ,sentries posted or constantly nagging to keep the door closed .....when we know for definite I'll canvas opinion on a new thread about what folk think might work .....

    @bbbrown, yes I was thinking of you at Claire's but thought with all the family and the dogs and 'Katie the gale', it might not quite compare to the tranquility at Claire's :)

    Yup that's what we have. It just stops them mooching too far. There are plenty of stories of peg dogs legging it after a bird with lead and screw flying behind them so I wouldn't trust it to massive temptation but it's useful if you're lacking a fence :)

    Very little compares to the tranquillity at Claire's. It's dog training heaven :)
