last Wednesday 3rd February, we lost our chocolate lab holly to cancer, she was 11yrs, it was a big shock, we had no idea, she was being sick and on and off food for nearly two weeks, she suffered with colitis on and off , they did blood tests, which came up clear for pancreatitis and Addisons, they thought at first it was dietary, but on the Wednesday morning she wouldn't eat at all, so the vet did an exploratory and found she had cancer on her stomach lining and starting to go up her aesopagus, we had to let her go then and there, the place is so quiet and empty.
I'm so very, very sorry to hear this. It must be a terrible time for you and your family to be missing her so much right now.
So terribly sorry to read your sad news , you must be devastated , my very sincere condolences to you and yours x
So sorry to read your sad news, such a shock for you. The vet I worked for, lost his dog to cancer very suddenly and he said dogs tend to appear well and then just fall of a precipice. The house always feels so empty without them. xx
So sorry to hear your sad news, it's a very difficult time when you are prepared but when it happens without warning there's the shock of it to cope with too. I've been in that situation twice. The shock sort of gave a delayed grieving response as I struggled to get my head around it. There's always that paralysed numb feeling when we loose a beloved pet. Sending you a big (((HUG))), your emotions are probably all over the place at the moment and that's very natural. Run free lovely Holly.
I am so sorry. But you did the right thing, and took the difficult decision as a responsible dog owner.
Ah, poor you. Big hugs. Well done for being brave and doing the right thing for her. Run free sweet Holly.
I am so very sorry you have lost your precious Holly. My thoughts are with you and your family. You did the kindest thing for your girl out of love. xx
