We have a 7.5 month old puppy who is in the destroying things stage, and has been for a while! Up until recently we have been letting him have large cardboard
I brought some strong rope which we played tug with that I let my girl chew on. You could use frozen kongs or frozen raw bones (not weight bearing bones, things like ribs).
Hit send too soon, full message should have read finished..... But recently he has started eating the small pieces of cardboard and as he has a sensitive stomach (and even if he didn't) I don't really want him to do that. He has lots of two toys and kongs etc which he will happily chew but he likes ripping things to pieces. I don't want him to chew on sticks and I'd rather not pay too much for him to destroy things. Does anyone have any suggestions for things we could give him that he could destroy that are not harmful to him and not food? (He does get rice bones occasionally but I don't want to give him them all the time)
Thanks Naya, he does like rope things and has a few, he also has a nylabone and antler which he likes but he can't really pull them to bits which is what he liked about the cardboard boxes (standing on them and pulling bits off).
I work for a local charity and we get sooooo many cuddly toys that I get given a load on a very regular basis for Harley. We have a few soft teddies/lambie/meerkat stuffed teddies that we have brought and she is gentle with these, but the ones I bring home from work get de-stuffed on a very regular basis. I sew them up every few days and she de-stuffs them again. We do this until I can't sew it together again so give her a new one . She never eats the stuffing, just really likes de-stuffing them
