    Hi All,

I am looking for some guidance regarding scabs that do not seem to want to heal. He has had these for a while now (years). However, lately I have noticed that the scabs seem to be opening up, almost an open wound. Obviously, he is prone to lick the area.

I am just wondering what can cause this and what would be a good treatment to heal these wound. He has them on both back paws.

I have attached a photo to give you a better idea.

    Thanks in advance, much appreciated

    Cheers

    Hi Jonny
I am assuming a vet has looked at these sometime over the years and ruled out anything other than a hotspot?
I would be asking advise about a cream that can be applied to the area. I was told Savlon is ok for small areas but you need to stop him licking them.Buy an inflatable collar or use a buster collar to stop him being able to reach round and lick whilst they clear properly.
