Hi everyone I think Ozzy needs to some practise with the leave it command. He has been on diet for a while and he has now reached 34.1kg I was so pleased when we got home weighed yesterday, when over the park today he ran into the bushes and found 3/4 of a dirty loaf of bread, he would not leave it he scoffed the lot, I will have to give him less dinner to makeup for it. What a pig
Re: Scoffing dirty bread No, he isn't a pig he is a typical lab.Otis did a superb counter swipe of a piece of my bread off my plate yesterday, that I had on the side. Unbelivably he has even managed to grab a piece of toast as it popped up from the toaster. The beach is a great place for bread, according to Otis, someone left a loaf down there the other day when they were feeding gulls, Otis swiped it. x
Re: Scoffing dirty bread Oh dear Ozzy, maybe you could have a high value treat on you and make a swap when he snaffles undesirable food. A good "leave it" is invaluable x
Re: Scoffing dirty bread Good for you for keeping on top of his weight, it will make such a difference to his health. I bet he doesn't agree though!!!!! ;D Almost all labradors are unbelievably greedy. My very first one used to run away and go and raid other people's dustbins.
Re: Scoffing dirty bread He is a good boy apart from scavenging. he our first I didn't realise how much they like food of any kind.

[/quote] Hahahaha!!!!! Go Otis. There is so much food lying around in the world....sigh. And Labradors are determined to eat it all. Obi found a bread roll on a walk yesterday and gulped the lot, of course. White, starchy things are much prized...
