I think the dog knew very well what it is doing. We protect our dogs these days, but when I was younger, many dogs lived a much freer life. Dog is on the bus, doesn't have to cross roads and the owner catches up with it.

:-\ I didn't mean to upset anyone, or spark a debate about dog ownership....

I just thought it was a smart girl who gets on the bus, rides a few spots, and gets off at the dog park....it's obviously a routine she knows, and like Stacia said...I'd rather see her get on a bus and ride by herself, than head down the street on her own. She is clearly well cared for, wears an ID tag, and such.

No, it's not something I'd want MY dog to do....but then I don't live in that kind of a setting with dog parks, city buses and the like.

Sorry if I upset anyone... :-[

    Don't apologise!
    Not upset me anyway.
Just raises a few questions - sounds cute, but is it actually laziness/irresponsibility on the part of the owner?
Still darned clever of the lab to do it, and good on the bus drivers!

    Very clever dog indeed :)

    And, yes, a risk-taking owner....
