Our 13 year old yellow lab has slowing started to "slow" down, over the last two weeks the changes have been drastic!!! he does not want to go for his walks, whcich he loved to do before, he doesn't finish his food, and for two days now he is having difficulty getting up. We are meeting witht the vet today, and I just want to be prepared.

I'm sorry your old friend is slowing down - it's so hard to watch them age. As the changes have come so quickly, I hope it's something that your vet can help with, like a thyroid problem that can be easily improved with medication.
Hello and welcome to the forum. I hope you can get some help from the vet for your old friend. I remember when my old dogs were really slowing down, some pain medication helped them be much more sprightly.
