Lots to get your teeth into here with sections on why dogs moult, why labradors shed SO much and ways to reduce the mountain of hair in your house: Shedding (or why does my labrador moult so much)
A really useful article. I had forgotten that I had a Zoom Groom (ordered for the cats and not used ) and used that on Juno this morning and just finished off with her brush. How much easier was today's grooming session and she looks much better for the zoom groom as well, shame I've still got chocolate drifts of fur on my floors despite sweeping after her grooming session
Almost a year ago, we got our Zach from a rescue operation in Texas. (We live in the far north of New York State.)He's about 5-6 years old, a healthy, handsome yellow fellow, the calmest, most sociable dog we've ever had in almost 50 years of dog parenting. We were told he is all Lab, and that's how he acts, but his vet claims he's a mix; his coat is almost Golden length, very thick and deep, similar in consistency to that of some Huskies I have known. It sheds almost constantly, just the fluffy undercoat. His whiskers and eyebrows have a very slight tendency towards curl. Any opinions about what we've got here? (Doesn't matter a bit to us; he's beautiful, but we're curious.)
Hello, there welcome,he sounds absolutely beautiful ,have you got a pic of him?im in love with his eyelashes already ,just from the description! X
