We are rural too and Hattie is extremely used to sheep so much so that she will sit while the sheep come upto us and allow me to stroke them all within inches of Hattie's
nose :D Even so I would never let her off lead amongst them as it can all go wrong in a heartbeat, so better to be safe than sorry.

I agree with you Charlie though I must say I aspire to have a dog as well conditioned to the sheep as Hattie is. ;) Is she from a working line?

It comes with being a practicing Catholic I guess Dexter mate. :) I can't wait either though!

Hi John, Hattie is a Labradoodle so no working lines there ;D and she is my first dog, I also have a rescue Labrador x Pointer called Charlie (I am Helen ;)) and we also walk him through fields of sheep, cows, horses and he has even encountered pigs so he is getting there slowly. It won't be too long before you get your dog, be patient and just think how well prepared you will be when the big day arrives xx :)
