So thought I would try today our retrieve, which we had been messing around with last fall. Haven't done it in ages, what with the snow and cold. I had tried a couple weeks ago but not a lot of success, he seemed to revert back to "go chew Thingy and play keep away" rather than "go fetch Thingy". Heh. Tried again today...same result but we got past that and he was doing well. Then I got the brilliant idea to try it on our deck,,which is mainly snow-free at the moment. Did a few perfect ones, so thought I would grab phone to show you all. Here's our next attempt:

    Oops. Well, let's try again....

8). Okay not perfect...steadiness, blah, blah...but hey, it's just for fun. :D "Real" gundog trainers, try not to laugh too hard....

P.S. He is really getting grey under the chin! :-\ And he's only 2.5 years old!! :p. Guess he just wants to fit in with OH and I.... :)

When I first saw the Thingy I thought it was ENORMOUS. I was, like, wow!! Simba is going to retrieve an actual surfboard???? Then I realised that it was just because it was being held really close to the camera....
