Just a quick question, when we finished today it was with a sit to the side. Inky usually plonks himself in front of me, how do others get a consistent sit at the side?

Various ways. Teaching him to retrieve is a pretty good way - the dummy is always in front :D
Or teach him to stand on something (an upturned box or a low stool etc) with his front paws and pivot around, so you can teach him to pivot with you, either in the "front" position or in the "heel" position. Just rewarding him in place is a good starting point.

I ask for a 'sit pretty' which she was lured into the first few times then the cue added
