Just interested to know what your dog/s sleep on and where? What is the set up? Nelly is six months now and in a crate with a crate mat and an extra pillow type thing. I think it's good enough but not too sure how comfy/warm it is. Should she have more things to snuggle with etc?
Stanley has a crate with a hard bed in with loads of blankets in it. I'm not sure if that's where he actually sleeps though because we don't shut the door and whenever I come down on a morning he's waiting for me at the baby gate so he might just sleep on the kitchen floor.
Jordy has a hard bed in a crate with a blanket. We bought vet bed for warmth and comfort, but the first week he dragged it out of his bed daily and never settled on it! If in lounge he will often lay on marble base of our fireplace instead of carpet! He is very young still though so all of this may change very soon!!
Cassie has a crate in the kitchen with vetbed in it, sometimes she's in there in the morning, sometimes she's not. In the day she has other options. I plan to get her a comfy bed for her crate, she hasn't been a bed chewer as such but had a fascination with zips so has spoiled her beds that way, by ripping them open
Rory just ate the zips mine have the ground floor with access to tiled floor rugs carpets and a tiled fire place 2 bed and the sofa or chair. They sleep anywhere they Like. Only Moo sleeps in Moos bed no one but no one sleeps in Moos bed
Bella ( now nearly 2 ) has her crate with a plastic bed placed inside it with a blanket and a rug that she sleeps in / on overnight , however she has a habit of shredding bedding and will pull all of this out if we let her . She also has a large padded bed that she likes to sleep in during the evenings .....most of all though she likes to sleep on the sofa in the conservatory during the day or under the dining room table . As a young pup she would dive under any piece of furniture she could find and would quite often be found under the chairs or sofa in the conservatory .....her face the first time she couldnt get under them as she grew was hysterical as she was determined she would get under them only to find once she did she was stuck !
Mine have all slept on the bed from about 4 months onwards and crates next to the bed before that. I'm just one of those people who loves a dog on the bed next to me.
Plum sleeps in a cozy dog bed in the kitchen behind a baby gate overnight and during the day if I'm out. When I'm in she has access to downstairs and sleeps on the floor on the carpet, or dog bed or sofa.
Harley sleeps on our bed with us, but if she's too hot she will sleep on the floor on her cool mat, or on the landing or in the spare bedroom. She has the run of the house and has had since she was 9 months old. Prior to that she slept in our room, but the stairs were blocked off so she couldn't go down without one of us.
Ripple has a crate in the dining room with vet bed, a plastic bed in the kitchen with vet bed, and a large Orvis memory foam bed in the lounge that belonged to my previous lab when he was older (and he only goes in this when we're in the lounge as well). Quite often he seems to be happy just to sleep on the kitchen floor.
Harley sleeps in a baby play pen at night. She has her big pillow bed, water bowl and a toy or two. She is very good about sleeping in her bed. She does spend the rest of the time on the bed with us when we are in the bedroom.
Max has the run of the house (he's 3 and a half now) and he often sleeps in my bed, in the winter he stays under the duvet with his head on the pillow!! He has his own bed next to mine too which he enjoys when he wants his own space, now it's getting warmer I often find him asleep downstairs on the marble floor
Picture a percentage sign % with me as the diagonal slash trying to find some space, the cat as the dot by my head, and the dog as the dot by my feet. OH wherever he can get a few inches of mattress.
Ours have the run of the bungalow , bedroom door closed though ! When I go to bed , I put a snuggly cover on the sofa , Sam gets off his duvet and onto the sofa for the night . Nell has a little wicker basket with a memory foam base and a duvet in it x
Ours spend the night in the bedroom with us. Cooper normally on the bed, and Tilly on the floor or her dog bed.
Luna is still in her crate under the stairs with towels that she arranges for a bed. We tried just to leave her in the kitchen/family room over night but she started putting herself in her crate after that at night instead. We think she thought we forgot to put her to bed. Her crate is a bit cumbersome for the kitchen and in the hall its open to the rest of the house so I don't really want to leave it open. Though I guess I could give it a try.
Buster is 3 and sleeps in a crate, it has a thick bed, along with a quilt (blame the husband) and a pillow, I swear it's more comfortable than my bed.
Mine sleep in a small utility room which is carpeted, one in a soft bed by fridge, one in more of a den under a worktop. They have a dog door so can go out if they want.
Fred sleeps on the sofa and Annie has her soft body crate in the snug too. She has vet bed on the floor of it and a soft dogs bed on that. Inside of the dog bed she has her pink blanket. Although it has been known, but don't tell anyone, that Fred has nipped into the crate and slept on the pink blanket
Imagine me as a full stop, a comma, an ampersand, a pipe, an "at" sign... basically, however the hell I fit on the bed with three Labradors taking up most of the space.
