Ok that's 2 votes for Milbemax. Does it do the same as Drobtal, if so I'll swap over to that. Thanks.
You made me laugh. Touch wood, I haven't encountered those problems ... yet! I crush any tablets and mix in kibble with a splash of hot water and a big dollop of Live plain yoghurt, she licks the bowl clean.
I don't know about the UK but here in France I can only get Milbemax from the vet while Drontal can be obtained elsewhere. Milbemax for an adult dog is only once every 3 months as well, and 1 tablet for dogs upto 25kg. I was trying toNget some comparative info but my browser is acting strange!
OK, browser sorted. Drontal is non-prescription v Milbemax prescription required, but Milbemax gives wider coverage of various intestinal nasties than drontal. https://www.viovet.co.uk/Milbemax_W.../c43/?sct_t=1441979652&sct_q=milbemax&sct_r=1 https://www.viovet.co.uk/Drontal_Wo...t_t=1441979770&sct_q=drontal+for+dogs&sct_r=1 The form we have for Juno is the "chewable" tablet - couple of crunches and it's gone
I know, I'm a disgrace especially after Lochan's escapades with the chocolate wreaths one Christmas. But it is a truly tiny amount of chocolate and it saves so much faffing around
Yes Casper is the same, he has his tea then his tablets...I say "medicine!" and he sits by the special cupboard wagging his tail...actually now he just sits by the special cupboard wagging his tail....
I don't even get to say anything with Juno, she's just there beside me as I get her tablets. She seems to think if something is small and in foil it must be for her . Got to love our Labs
Ok so we've got a bit of a test to set up with what works best. I'll leave it a month and try again but with the tabs divided across the different methods.
I think I'm going to switch from Endogard to Milbemax, for the heartworm cover. It's three times the cost, but still not a lot in the grand scheme of things.
I've never considered the cost of Milbemax as it's what Juno has always had as recommended by our vet, but our breeder used it as well. Last time Ibought some at the vet it was on special offer so got a years supply for around half the price
We've no strawberry patch but lots of wild strawberries... he likes them but in fact prefers to chew on couch grass. Which I think is very considerate of him.
