Lady has been throwing up all day. I think it might be the aftermath of a lamb bone she polished off last night. She keeps taking herself into the garden, digging as little hole in one of the flower beds and being sick in it. Just bile now as she has nothing left in her stomach, poor soul. She's drinking well so I guess dehydration isn't an issue. I'll starve her this evening and take her to the vet tomorrow if she's still unwell. They are a worry. We're going out this evening and I don't like to leave her when she's under the weather, so I think we'll be making excuses early to get back to her. :-[
Re: Small Black Dog being sick Such a worry when they are sick. Is she still managing to have a 'poo'?
Re: Small Black Dog being sick Poor thing. Lilly did something similar a few weeks ago after she ate a manky fish on the beach (she "resource guarded" - normally she would just toss it around a bit) They are definitely worry. Hope she is okay
Re: Small Black Dog being sick Ah David I hope she over it now as I check in , can't ever remember lady being poorly x
Re: Small Black Dog being sick Hi Stacia- yes still poohing so hopefully not a blockage. She just walked passed her bowl with a few kibbles and some cooked broccoli and literally crawled onto the sofa. Then thought about it a bit and has gone back and eaten all the food in her bowl albeit rather slowly so fingers crossed.
Re: Small Black Dog being sick That's a relief that it isn't an obstruction then. As she has felt well enough to have a little taste of food, I hope she maintains this and is much better tomorrow. Though I am not sure I would have given her broccoli but have no real reason why I think that!
Re: Small Black Dog being sick She loves it and we had a few florets left over from the grandchildren's supper. Only a taster really. She ate that first then ate the kibble. ;D Thanks all for your nice replies!
Re: Small Black Dog being sick Oh dear, sorry she's unwell, David. Hope her tum settles soon. Sending gentle pats her way.
