Re: Small Black Dog being sick Just got back from vet's. Most likely just eaten something really bad. No temperature and although stomach a bit tight not in any pain. Could be blockage. Least likely pancreatitis. Had an anti-biotic injection, an anti-inflamatory and an anti-emetic. Last one quite painful poor lamb - very brave. Got to see a marked improvement from midday onwardsor take her straight back within 24 hours. I think I can see an improvement already - she's just gone to sleep sitting up and looks much more relaxed and natural.

Re: Small Black Dog being sick I wonder when I can try her on a little bit of food. I got some cans of special gentle diet stuff at the vet this morning. The stuff they give dog's after an operation and easily digested and thought a good idea to have a few cans on the shelf for situations such as this.
Re: Small Black Dog being sick Good plan. I'd try her on a tiny amount this lunchtime/afternoon after she's woken up properly of her own accord. Then if that stays down a little more for tea. Smaller more frequent meals. I have some tins of Chappie now for this kind of thing.
Re: Small Black Dog being sick Thanks. Yes good plan. She's definitely brighter - barked at the postman just now through the front window. This morning she completely ignored a man in the street with the same scenario.
Re: Small Black Dog being sick Sounds promising. Perhaps just try a tiny bit of food mixed with a bit of water to make a paste. Hope she's better soon.
