She's 5 years old and should know better - or so you'd think. OH hasn't spotted it yet but when she does someone not a million miles away will be in deep trouble! SBD has just casually chewed half through a cross rail on one of our antique dining chairs! Honestly she's taking her life in her hands.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Get the wood filler out! ;D ;D ;D

It could be years before your OH looks closely enough to notice - if you offer to dust the chairs for the next decade....

;D I'm thinking of putting something on to hide the obviously chewed bit but it's difficult to get the opportunity without being spotted.

SBD needs to invite a canine visitor around as soon as possible. Then the blame can readily be shifted......

    Crocodile time!!! ;D

I must say I thought Lady was unique in the biting and mouthing stakes when she was a puppy. We even took her to a behaviourist for a check up (found nothing wrong). And then I started reading the puppy posts on here and felt much better about ......

..... the coffee table (Ercol with dog modified legs and paper rack spindles), the kitchen chairs (see coffee table), the telephone wires (several times - why haven't there been any phone calls?), the hall carpets (each corner chewed away), the living room glass door frames (now repaired but a really fiddly job), the hall walls and skirting boards (yes she likes the flavour of plaster), several pairs of shoes, the odd cushion, two boot jacks, my slippers for some reason, a mobile phone, the TV remotes, .......

I could extend the list if I put my mind to it.

    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sounds like the SBD was re-living her puppyhood. Even a Lady is allowed a little bit of nostalgia now and again, surely ;)
