She got a paw tangled in the Christmas tree light cord while nosing the presents around it's base. She took off around the dining table with a spinning unravelling 5ft tree in a large pot spraying baubles, tinsel and soil in all directions.

She's now hiding behind the sofa, the mess is cleared up, nothing is broken but I have to re-dress the tree tomorrow in time for the grandchildren coming round.

Aaaaaaargh! Is all I can say!

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    Oh SBD!!!

I'm sure it was spectacular in its own way. Hope the SBD doesn't have a permanent Christmas phobia now ;)

Hope she's emerged from behind the sofa by now! It's a pity you didn't take a video!

She was ok about the tree, but has a really bad limp this morning. I think she must have strained her weak left elbow, poor lamb. I've given her a dose of Metacam with her breakfast. Tree now re-dressed and looking good again. Amazingly only one of our German wooden decorations was damaged but I've been able to glue it back together. I must say I should have taken some photos of the carnage. Labs are really surprisingly strong when it comes to escaping from the Christmas tree devil. After doing a lap of the dining room table of course her path was blocked by the fallen tree. I think in another life she could do quite well as a show jumper!

You've got to laugh. Dogs are wonderful at keeping you on your toes. Wouldn't be same if she wasn't occasionally doing stuff!
