She got a paw tangled in the Christmas tree light cord while nosing the presents around it's base. She took off around the dining table with a spinning unravelling 5ft tree in a large pot spraying baubles, tinsel and soil in all directions. She's now hiding behind the sofa, the mess is cleared up, nothing is broken but I have to re-dress the tree tomorrow in time for the grandchildren coming round. Aaaaaaargh! Is all I can say!
Oh SBD!!! I'm sure it was spectacular in its own way. Hope the SBD doesn't have a permanent Christmas phobia now
Mine, having read your post, are eyeing up the Christmas tree! They are in awe of SBD Seriously though, I do hope she wasn't too frigthened, must be scary being chased by a Christmas tree!
She was ok about the tree, but has a really bad limp this morning. I think she must have strained her weak left elbow, poor lamb. I've given her a dose of Metacam with her breakfast. Tree now re-dressed and looking good again. Amazingly only one of our German wooden decorations was damaged but I've been able to glue it back together. I must say I should have taken some photos of the carnage. Labs are really surprisingly strong when it comes to escaping from the Christmas tree devil. After doing a lap of the dining room table of course her path was blocked by the fallen tree. I think in another life she could do quite well as a show jumper! You've got to laugh. Dogs are wonderful at keeping you on your toes. Wouldn't be same if she wasn't occasionally doing stuff!
Oh no Rory wee'd up my mums christmas tree he was so happy to see her. he saw it 2 weeks before and didn't do you think he was excited about santa?
