... and her owner. That must have been the wettest shooting day on record. We couldn't get to some of the drives because of flooding. Fields just rivers of water. Lady and owner relieved to get back to the car for a change of clothes.
Re: Small black WET dog! I must say I'm always impressed by how waterproof Labs are. We were out in steady rain from 0930 to around 1300 then had lunch and decided to call it a day. She looked to be sopping but underneath her undercoat was bone dry. She's zonked out now. Since giving her a go at picking up she's become a lot keener too. We were beating today so not much chance to retrieve, but moving on to another drive she suddenly dived to one side of the path and picked up a shot pheasant that had gone unnoticed purely on picking up it's scent! Lots of good girls.
