Detol can be toxic from what I understand. ESPECIALLY for cats. It nearly killed my cat. If it can do that to a cat I don't no what it can do to dogs. So I switched to a pet detergent called odourfresh. Smells lovely lol

Now that would make a great bumper sticker.

Could I say that if your dog DOES develop any kind of allergic symptoms that fragranced stuff in the house is one of the first things you should ditch. There was a thread ages ago about fragrances - I remember scented candles being mentioned.
So on the whole they are probably ok.......
Same goes for allergies in humans. If you can smell it, it goes up yoir nose and into your body.
I don't think most people OR dogs have problems and I don't want to scare everybody into ditching their neutradol febreeze and plug-ins but just to be aware if you think you might have a problem :(

Eggy farts sounds like his food is not completely agreeing with him, Maggie.

I ditched most of my air freshenes after reading that thread....I'm sure it's a factor in the improvement in Dexters eye irritations.I do still light candles some evenings or if he's had a romp in the sprinklers and visitors are calling......he can be a bit swampy! ;)....in that lovely lab way ;D
