I met a good pal of mine today with his 6 month old pup. It was a busy doggy area with water, duck, geese , joggers etc.... Meg was just a peach. Sharp recall, attentive to me and no bother at all. He said "I can only dream of having a dog with a recall like that " ....well #smug !!! I did do a year of KC obedience classes, I do read and read about positive training and I also focus on her despite being a busy working Mum. I did have moments of dispair when she was younger but we stuck at it and connected. I love her to the moon and back and today I shall enjoy being smug as it was blinking hard work to get here . Definitely revel in the smugness! Your friend needs to stop dreaming and start training (like you did)
Ha ha you are so right. I have been nagging him to get to classes, actually the same positive ones we went too. There is a great one on his doorstep. !!!
