Ella sneezes really often when she's on her back (similar to the photo below but only when her nose is pointing straight up in the air). Is she the only one that does this? Does anyone know if it's normal? I doesn't really bother me, other than when she sneezes on my face or headbutts me

That's pretty common. What I don't understand is none of mine have sneezed much when it's their choice to lie on their backs but when we are wrestling and I hold them there, Then they sneeze.

Sneezing can be an appeasement signal. My two also do it when playing rough with each other to indicate it's all just fun.

Brogan would always stand, shake and sneeze after I gave him kisses or cuddles. I always said it was because he was trying to get the girl cooties off. Or he just figured covering me with wet dog sneeze was the best anti-cuddle revenge.

@Emily it might be anatomical: when her nose is pointing in a certain direction, she might get a post-nasal drip and needs to sneeze.

Yep, Charlie sneezes on his back - mainly when he's wriggling around having a tummy rub etc. He also seems to sneeze in the same way as he'd shake. Eg to signify a change. Say after he's finished making his whale noises, getting back and tummy rubs, and it's time to get out of bed in the morning. Sometimes he gets up and shakes, and often he'll sneeze - and then, off we go, he says it's time we all started the day....:D
