Hollie has a little wolfdog puppy friend that used to come and play (my daugthers school friend) she was the brothers dog and wasn't basic trained, couldn't sit on command etc but was absolutely beautiful.
She ran out of the house last night and was hit by a car and died :( my daughter has been pretty inconsolable since she came home :(
It makes me so very glad hollie is trained to sit and wait until we are out the door and is 'released' to come out.
It also makes me sad that yet another dog has been failed and as a result is no longer with us.
    :'(

Thst is really sad. I think your take on it is on the money - it's our responsibility to train safe behaviours in our dogs.

    Still, unpredictable things can happen....

Oh, I'm sorry Esther, that is horrible and sad. :(

What is a wolf dog, please?

I'm not 100% percent sure but she was very much like a northern inuit/husky, she was a beautiful dog with the bluest eyes :)

My daughter has just informed me that the step dad used to kick and hit bella when she was 'naughty' (to everyone else being a puppy) she wasn't yet house trained so to be honest I'm glad she is out of there....poor thing

Oh dear...hugs to you and your daughter :'(

We can only speculate that training would have prevented this, but sometimes these things sadly do happen - especially in urban areas.

Oh the poor little mite , what a sad end to what sounds like a sad life , how heart breaking , you just wonder how people can get it all so wrong . Yes, tragic accidents will always happen , and to the best of owners too but this little love didn't stand much of a chance by the sounds of it :'(
