I was just prepping a green cabbage for dinner and the pups were, of course, eyeing it up. I saved two of the outer leaves for them. Willow ran off to her crate and demolished hers. Shadow looked at me as if I'd slapped him in the face. Repeatedly. With a dead haddock.

I think he's currently worrying that that was it for tonight's dinner :D

I've got two like that, one will eat anything, loves vegetable stalks, beetroot etc. Offer the other one the same and he spits it out with a 'are you trying to poison me' look!

Inca thinks Charlie (chocolate Charlie) is mental! Very little that Inca won't eat, she's currently hoovering up some frozen peas that I dropped. However my mum's Labrador is a total fuss pot and will lick clean any vegetable that lands on his plate but refuses to eat them. Oddball!

I've only found one thing Pongo won't eat..... and it is raw liver. Which I thought would be a treat. Shows how much I know.

At present, Bud will eat anything that is offered to him....................anything he can scavenge.........and basically anything that will fit into his mouth if he finds it tasty. Far from fussy is our Bud! Keeps us on our toes, and me in particular.

Figured you might appreciate that Rosie. I sometimes wonder if Bud is beginning to learn from Pongo's earlier teachings :)

I think Bud is showing that he can teach Pongo a few tricks too!

    I love this thread! :)
Our last lab would have happily been a vegetarian - her dearest wish was for a nice salad every day. She would eye a chunk of iceberg lettuce like other dogs would a steak. LOL
This puppy though, thought I was trying to poison her when I offered her a piece of lettuce! She will, however, Knock You Over for a lick of vanilla probiotic yogurt. Thankfully, she seems to like the plain, no-sugar variety too so that'll be better for her.

And a yoghurt pot is just the perfect size and shape to fit neatly over a labrador's nose.

    It certainly is.

And speaking of yoghurt....our dear, not so little Bud, thought it would be funny to sneak the lid of my wife's the other night before she had chance to bin it. And he wasn't satisfied with just a lick. He swallowed it whole before she had chance to retrieve it!! Thankfully he recycled it in his own natural way :)
