Re: Some people get right up my nose! I have learned at work to keep my dog obsession a bit quiet. Those who know and are interested will ask me about Poppy, and people who are friends with me on Facebook see my photos and want to know about her training etc. But I have learned to recognize when people's eyes start to glaze over if I get too enthusiastic about doggy stuff... It takes all sorts! Luckily my family are all as dog obsessed as I am. And joining a gun dog club was the best thing I ever did - EVERYONE there is completely nuts about dogs and gun dog training, there is no danger of boring anyone! Don't worry Jane, once you get your little girl, you'll find so many people are fascinated by her, you'll meet all kinds of new people. And we on this forum are very happy for you and can't wait to see photos of little Chepi.
Re: Some people get right up my nose! I struggle to find a topic of conversation these days NOT linked to dogs. And love talking about Lilly and labs
Re: Some people get right up my nose! As the others have said Jane , ignore them , leave all the doggy chat for the forum where it will be enjoyed by all of us ;D ;D
Re: Some people get right up my nose! Yes, Katieincornwall, you are right. I am avoiding dog conversations with them! Day off today so just cruising the lab site; ordering a kong wobbler - you know the sort of thing; time for another cuppa I think that the forum will be a really good form of support when my pup arrives. A friendly work is almost instant, isn't it
Re: Some people get right up my nose! Jane , I can say hand on heart that for me and many many more who are experienced dog owners , this forum has been a life saver at times and what is appreciated is that no question is ever considered to be silly
