Sorry for the forum downtime this weekend! Our servers were out of action from 8pm Saturday evening until about 8:30 this evening. We have had quite a few interruptions to service over the last few months and will be looking at ways to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum in the future. Pippa
Re: Sorry for the downtime Hi Pippa I'll bet it's been a nightmare. We had similar problems and now we have mirror servers, main one in Manchester and second in Berlin with DNS held by a third company in Glasgow (who also have mirrors in New York). It means that if the main server goes down we can flip to the second. The big thing is knowing when server #1 fails and remembering to switch back! For me the extra coverage for not too much extra expense means I can sleep easy and don't have a heart attack every time the IT gremlins have an outing ;D Kerryn
