Well, even if you don't believe in psychics it's nice to know that you're a-ok in Garfield's book Is he going to be hitching a ride with you back to Germany in a couple of months? Heh, I'm just messing with you. I hope that he settles in a little quicker with you this time. Did Miry say why the new home didn't want him?
Wow, I go quiet for a couple of days and come back to Emily getting a menagerie! I bet you get a goat next.
I'm pretty sure Paul is part goat considering everything he considered edible in my house. But in truth, the way things are going, an actual goat will probably arrived on my doorstep tomorrow. Would not surprise me one bit.
The adopter thought he was aggressive to the cat he already had. They only met once, so not sure how Garfield was aggressive. I think probably the real reason is that it's hard to warm up to a cat that hisses and spits at you. Oh well, I'm kind of glad he's back. The guy returned him with no food, none of his bowls, no kitty litter, none of his medicine and his bedding reeking of smoke. Garfield is glassy-eyed and looks like he's in shock. So I'm not inclined to think too kindly of the ex-adopter. Miry will find a better home for him.
I'm not quite sure I even brushed my hair today, let alone took photos. Carbon and I are laying on the sofa in a coma. Tomorrow will be better for photos. Or at least clean underwear and matching socks.
I'm not very gifted with the black dog photos. He looks like a dark blob on the sofa in every one! I do have to say, he completely gave me the giggles by taking a big lick of my hummus. Had a lid on it and everything, I set it down, went back to the kitchen to get my drink, and I come back to Carbon with a grin and a tongued shaped depression in my fresh hummus. He tried to deny it, but he had hummus breath, sneaky boy! Yes, I ate the rest of it for lunch anyway.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: this is a tough crowd. Here are some first days' photos and a couple of videos of the boys: Carbon and Paul when he was here for his sleepover. Garfield sends his regrets - he is not quite feeling camera-ready at the moment. Not great photos - I'm learning on the job when it comes to photographing a solid black dog! Slumber Party with Paul Video of Paul playing with his beloved bone - he doesn't move the first couple seconds, but he gets wacky at the end. And here was Carbon's first visit to the house - actually last week before coming home for good a couple days ago (and the last sun we had) Carbon's favourite spot, the sofa... And his second favourite spot, the bed... And finally having a bit of an explore of the neighbourhood between the raindrops this evening...
Those are two gorgeous dogs! If you bring either of them to Germany at some point, we are going to have to arrange a visit!!
