They are both lovely dogs, it amazes me that they should have found themselves in a shelter, they seem such happy dogs and deserve a happy life :)

Gorgeous boys! I want them to find nice homes so badly :(

Carbon doesn’t look that tubby though. I’ve definitely seen much fatter labs around! So hopefully his diet won’t be too bad for him x

Such gorgeous dogs! Paul’s lovely, waggly tail looks very long and as for Carbon, he’s just adorable! Have fun! :)

I didn't think Carbon looked too tubby in the photos but you can see it in the video :D I can't wait for el gato himself to make an appearance (maybe that's Italian, forgive me Garfield!)

Carbon's 'tub' is really just his belly. It's like he has a beer belly! He waddles when he walks. It's very cute, but probably not very nice for his joints.

"El Gato Real" (His Royal Highness) has now learned to retire to his private chambers upon hearing the door to my bedroom open. He is not pleased with his life, but at least the blankness that was in his eyes upon arrival has been replaced by his usual superior loathing. The animal communicator says that he likes me (less than he likes Miry who he LOVES) so I just tell him he's a big fat faker and get on with it. At the end of the day, he knows he just got flipped out of the frying pan and onto a nice cushy bed with lovely food and lots of toys. He may be bored silly, but he's safe and has time to settle in. Miry will come tomorrow to tell him what an angel he is, and all will be right in his tiny world.

This is normal. We still get this from time to time 18 YEARS after rescuing our feral cat.

Paul is back. I couldn't stand him crying at the metal gate of the shelter and pawing at Carbon on the other side. I'm such a sucker. It's just for the weekend and we'll see how we all survive. Poor Carbon is much more nervous with Paul in the house, even though they entertain each other. I think at heart he's a pretty chilled dog and with Paul he feels like he has to be constantly on.

But let's see how it goes. Before they were only together one night and it was Carbon's first night here. Now they've both spent multiple nights here, so maybe the dust will settle.

It won't be a boring weekend, that's for sure. :D

    I don't need a podenco. @snowbunny has that covered.

Besides, the goat is arriving any day, remember? :p

What about a tiny donkey too? All your need then would be a cockerel and you could recreate a fairy tale.

Pot-bellied pig. You could definitely do with one of those.

I'm impressed by your garden. Inky would like to help with the pruning and could teach that lovely Carbon

Grass is plastic... poor bunny would have indigestion.

Heh heh - it's a holiday rental so my gardening is limited to making sure everything gets watered. Plus I like the wild look! :D

A tiny donkey is a brilliant idea. Could I have one of those instead of the goat? :happyfeet:
