Harley made lots of grunting whining noises for the first 48 hours. They must be in pain :(

Thanks Naya, can't help worrying can you....wish they could speak! I've just given her some metacam and she's snoozing, so must be pain. I've got Tramadol as well, but saving that for a little later in the evening so hopefully it will see her through the night.

    How's Harley doing?

Yeah I think it's about normal. Penny was fine but my mums dog cried for about 24 hours after she brought her home. She settled down the day after that though. I think the anaesthetic makes them feel all out of sorts.

Harley is doing much better thanks :) look in the behaviour section for today's episode!
My problem is now keeping her calm.....took 4-5 days before she was more energetic :) fingers crossed Maisie is able to relax for a few days xx

    Re: Spay tomorrow

Maisie spent a reasonably comfortable night, but was quite unhappy at 4.30am, so ended up on my bed for lots of cuddles ::) However, this morning she is full of energy! Oh Lord, how am I going to keep her quiet! She's had a 10 minute on lead walk and seemed ok, a bit slow, but happy to have a potter and a sniff! She is currently chewing on a log in the garden ::), so her mouth must be ok, so I think it's time to bring out some chews! It's going to be a long week ;D

Here's a photo of her wounds, looks very similar to Penny's spay photo.

Pretty impressive! Glad she's bouncing back quickly.

Glad she's home and improving. Yes, the GA takes a while to go out of their systems.

The hardest thing will be keeping her calm for a few days!

    :)

Pleased she's feeling lively this morning (well I know that's not exactly what you want but it must mean she's not in pain).

Just to say that keeping a 5.5 month old lab pup "quiet" is IMPOSSIBLE!!! ::)

;D ;D It was bad enough with Millie and she is an elderly dog, you have my sympathy ;)
