Spayed...

    Ashima will be spayed soon and I’d be laughing at the keep your dog calm for 2 weeks if only it happened to be funny!

    Tips? I simply cannot imagine how could possibly happen.

    Lots of brain games that don't need a lot of movement. Don't give her her food in a bowl, make her use her brain for it, so you can scatter it around the garden, hide it in the house, use puzzle toys etc. Use a crate if she gets too hyper. People have to have their dogs on far longer periods of restricted exercise after surgeries, so two weeks really isn't a bother. You will still be able to take her on lead walks, so work on your lead walking skills and other training outside. Making her use her brain will definitely tire her out.

    Short lead walks in places where there is a lot to smell, and few other dogs to interact. Keeping the nose and brain busy got us through that fortnight with Holly
