My girl has her spay appointment January 3rd.
Well this past Tuesday, December 3rd, she started bleeding. It’s her first heat. She’s 8 1/2 months old.
So my question is, is it safe to get her spayed still on January 3rd? It will be 32 days after she started bleeding.

I believe the advice is to wait 3 - 4 months after heat before spaying or they can go into a chronic false pregnancy.

My vet said 3 months after last season or else they are too vascular and at risk of bleeding. Chat to your vet as doubt any vet would go ahead without that information, basic pre op care.
