Good to hear that the paw is healing, fingers crossed that the bandaging helps the skin to heal nicely. At least the walk restriction is only for a few days at the moment. It sounds as if you're doing all the same sort of games I did with Juno, plus.its of short training sessions. I try to introduce some new training like identifying a few toys and bringing the right one when asked. I'm sure Harley will be fine though without too many mad moments

With Obi's fairly recent paw injury we found that a large plastic cone was the best way to stop licking. Bandaging did prevent him from getting to the wound but it also prevented healing as the wound stayed too moist (as air couldn't get to it through the bandage). Just something to keep at the back of your mind if the bandaging doesn't do the job. It's hard with feet because they sweat a lot and tend to stay moist if wrapped up..

If she is unrestricted in her movement but just needs to keep her paw dry, targeting is great. Working on nose and paw targets - to different targets - is just hugely useful for all sorts.

Goo news Ternaya. Ah yes it was Rachael who advised not bandaging and a cone and that's what we are doing at the moment with Charlie's new injury. Hope all continues to go well with Harley. xx

Pongo is so sorry to hear about Harley! He says to tell her to be brave and he sends loads of licks and hopes to see her soon....

Harley has both front paws split . We didn't noticed the other paw was split initially! Bandages are off and the vets are happy with how they are healing. We are having yo dry her paws every time she goes in the garden (which is constant at the minute!) and bathe them 3 times a day. She did go with her dog walker today - he stuck to a large field and bathed her paws when he got her home (my dog walker is amazing). He limited how much she ran around and she enjoyed having a bit of 1-2-1 time with him.
On the plus side..........we have been doing lots of training . I can now walk out of a room for 2 mins and she will stay in a sit . We have also been doing target work as it will be useful for agility.
    Thank you for asking xx

Good to that Harley's paws are healing well and that the extra training is proving very beneficial :D:D

I love that you've been able to turn this into a positive with the training ☺.

Sounds like you have a great dog walker too.

    Keep getting better Harley ☺☺

Poor little girl that's just miserable :( On a positive note, look at the great training you have been doing, that's great.

I have been teaching Charlie a hand touch and he's doing great too :D xx
