Last night, I was sitting on the floor, and Rue went and collected all of her bones around the house one-by-one, and set them on my lap. (Excuse my raggity pajamas in the pic.) bones by rue7514, on Flickr Of course, I secretly find it adorable ;D. Sweet girl.
Re: Stop the madness!
Lol ;D Harley gets hers and lies on my legs to chew them!
Rue does that too! Gets my pants all gross with her slobber.
Re: Stop the madness! I keep an old towel near me so quickly out it over my legs or they would be sopping wet ;D

Re: Stop the madness! Chepi doesn't have bones; I wouldn't know what was safe! But probably worse, she chews sticks and these end up on my legs. Must stop her doing that! That's a really lovely picture of your dog's presents to you or wanting to share, I would be thrilled too

We buy a bag of raw bones from a local farmer every 2 weeks, and let her go at those and then throw them out. AND REPEAT! She loves them. But I am a bit clueless really when it comes to bones.
Re: Stop the madness! The filled bones you can buy are fine (but throw away the filling, it's yukky fatty stuff) I get the ones with thick sides so the dogs can't split them. I then fill them with soaked kibble - they last a lot longer than Kongs. But I only give them supervised. They love them.
Re: Stop the madness! We heat with wood....so Bella is a firewood chewing dog.... : There are wood slivers all over the floor, sofa, bed, etc. : I figure, it saves the furniture from being chewed...so can cope with the mess mostly. when she has a meaty bone, she is generally on one of the rugs but once the meat ifs off it, she'll be on the sofa or the bed with it at some point almost guaranteed. She doesn't tend to chew things ON my lap...but that might be related to the fact that I'm not generally sitting all that often.... :-\
