Hi, Just wanted to see if anyone has come across this with their own. In the last week and a bit, Vanilla has started to scratch/digging motion on either her bed, blanket on the floor or on settee. She stops once she has kind of collected the blanket/s in a pile. It is only every now and again. We don't stop her, but just curios. Anyone have an idea? Thanks
Oh yeah we have that. Lilly "dug" the rubber mat in the back of the car (boot/trunk) the other day. No clear reason. Sometimes she digs out the bed pad from her night bed and lies on the fabric - unpadded - bottom Strange, dog, strange......
Not quite the same but similar, Monty used to dig out the inner soles of my shoes - the outers would look fine until you put your feet in...
All the labs I've owned or looked after have done this and my 25 week old pup has been doing it since she was tiny. It's like they're re-arranging their beds to get them as comfy as possible.
Thanks all, I thought it would be nothing and just more their strange and cute behaviour. She had never done it before, given that she is 12months old now just wasn't sure...
Yup same here too - although I don't appreciate the "fluffing up and rearranging" of our duvet at 3am
Agree but ours was at 2am and then 4am in a different location. But given that it is normal, no concern anymore..
Moos so energetic when she does it she grunts rolls squeals squiggles and chucks her blanket out of her bed. It's a very noisy procedure and very funny. Everything had to be just so and it really doesn't look that comfy
