I had to take my 2 dogs down to the vets to get tummy upset checked out . I couldn't get a taxi so had to hurriedly walk. It usually take 40 mins at a brisk walk it took us 30 mins so we were all a bit rushed. The rushing helped show that Moo has developed a slight heart problem. I notice she was getting a bit out of breath sometimes and tired quickly on walks. I,d just put it down to her age 13 and half but clearly there is more going on. It's not serious just something to keep an eye on but if we hadn't had to rush it wouldn't have shown up. I've also got the vet to do some bloods to check her liver and kidney function just to be on the safe side. She's going to ring me later with the results. Shes such a perky little dog i forget shes getting old hopefully this will help with her care.I was so proud of them both the behaved beautifully and hopefully their tummies will get better too
Gosh ,that has been lucky ...will she needs meds to manage it? Hope the tummy troubles sort out soon too....they seem to have been rumbling on a little while now x
They did !they did! and she won't need medication at the moment. Just got to keep an eye on the little darling. May need yhem in the future not yet
That's good! I'm glad Moo's blood tests were reassuring. Hope your pleurisy is soon sorted so you can resume your treatment too.
I would like to add its not a good idea to sit next to a dog thats had a thermometer up it's bum eeeeew eeeeeew
Ah, that's great news. Old pups are the best! Those regular full blood panels are really a re-assuring diagnostic measure for dogs of a certain age - makes you feel so good when they come back all clear.
